Studying after a bender

I'm currently in my last week of school or, hopefully, any sort of formal education, and I'm currently in the library. I had a bender out on the town earlier, and so, now the work must begin. The future is apparently bright, but the unforeseen challenges will surely surface. Here's to the future ... May the obstacles perish, the mountains tumble, and the path to glory be filled with spiritual riches and insight.

Comma ambiguity

I am currently unsure about where to place commas in sentences. Of course, I'm aware of the rudimentary rules governing this linguistic conundrum. However, I have embarked on a journey of attempting to write a novel. Thus, I owe it to the potential readers of the this unwritten masterpiece to know how to place commas in a well-constructed sentence.
